Windows: Building a Simple Application Using Android Studio
Whew. That took some effort. Prerequisites include installing the Java Developer Kit. Also you should install the Intel HAXM accelerator. I show how to configure JAVA_HOME in the environment variables. In this I use the Android Studio to build an app with a new button and a log message. It is certainly non-trivial and requires some patience to get started. But it works better once you have the emulator running and have a decent sized monitor.
